Business Services with IP/Ethernet Backup over 5G FWA

Extend and protect Carrier Ethernet business services with 5G Fixed Wireless Access as a fast-to-deploy backup and reach-extension path

Implementing the Solution

Ball Graphic - Rad data communications

The Challenge

Some sites sit beyond economical fiber reach, and fiber installs take time. Even connected sites still need protection against an outage on the primary Carrier Ethernet path.

Ball Graphic - Rad data communications

Our Approach

Deliver Carrier Ethernet L2 services over a 5G FWA link using the ETX-2i demarcation device, transporting traffic either as native Ethernet or encapsulated in IP over L2TPv3, with RADview managing the service.

Your Benefit

Faster service delivery to out-of-reach or fiber-pending sites, uninterrupted service through 5G backup, and the flexibility to load-share traffic across both paths.

How It Works

The ETX-2i puts the 5G path to more than one use. It reaches sites that fiber can’t economically serve yet, and once the primary link is active, the same connection stands ready as a resilient backup, with traffic transported as native Ethernet or encapsulated in IP via L2TPv3. RADview provides centralized management and domain orchestration across both the primary and 5G-backed paths.
