Summary

The Presales team is the primary technical resource for the field sales force. The Presales Team is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the Sales Team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products.

As a member of the Presales Team, the Presales Engineer is responsible for developing customer solution in the sales cycle, based on understanding customer needs and aligning those needs with the spectrum of product offerings. Must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely and in harmony with sales team
  • Actively seek new business opportunities, leading the technical aspects for Service Providers (SP), Critical Infrastructure (CI) and Government customers
  • Develop strategies to expand RAD customer base
  • Lead and orchestrate RFI / RFP processes throughout the organization and with customers
  • Lead and monitor solution evaluations and Proofs-of-Concept in support of sales opportunities, both directly with the customer and through channel partners
  • Continuously lead technical follow up discussions with customers and/or channel partners while striving to close deals
  • Liaison with Product Managers and Development to understand details of product direction and design and communicate information back to sales organization.
  • Communicate with the product team regarding any issues or feature requests that are impacting prospects and existing customers
  • Ensure successful handoff to the Customer Support Team
  • Articulate the features and benefits of RAD solutions and products
  • Understand customer business drivers and how to map them to a RAD solution
  • Provide technical leadership in the Requirements Discovery, Solution Development, and Solution Proposal stages of the opportunity sales cycle
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations to current and prospective customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc. & provide technical sales training to Sales team.

 

Requirements:

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in sales and knowledge of technology. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for occasional travel.

  • Hunter at heart, with 5+ years of experience in a leading Pre-sales position in México
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of a calendar year and as business required (working throughout weekends/holidays may be required from time to time
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role
  • A “CAN-DO” person with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-disciplinary networking knowledge and experience suited for various markets such as Service Providers, Utilities, and Transportation. Experience working with Telmex and/or Telcel is a plus.
  • Enhanced knowledge in various OT/IT network architecture such as CE, IPVPN, IPMPLS/MPLS-TP, Industrial IoT, Automation, SDN/SDWAN as well as legacy TDM networks such as SDH/PDH
  • Ability to lead processes within a matrix environment
  • Must be a team player and adaptive to the competitive market environment.
  • Fully aware of the contemporary, evolving technologies in the field of communications, internet and Telecom industry.
  • Academic degree in computer science/engineering or similar
  • Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation skills to technical and business audiences (onsite, conference or seminar)
  • Languages: Fluent written and spoken Spanish & English is mandatory.
