RAD is looking for a Database Administrator to join the Information Systems team.

This is a full-time (hybrid) position at the company headquarters in Ramat HaChayal, Tel Aviv.

The Database Administrator will be responsible for all database management functions, including the strategic planning, managing, support, performance and tuning of all database applications.

Responsibilities

  • Security planning, architecture design, extract-transform-load (ETL) processes
  • Capacity planning and design and implementation of all backups and recovery procedures
  • Supply recommendations and best practice solutions to development teams
  • Oversee all Oracle and SQL Server databases
  • Plan and execute installations and upgrades to Database in RAD Communications
  • Ensure compliance with RDBMS license agreement
  • Assist in the management of the hardware and software as related to the operations of the SQL Server DBMS and Oracle DBMS including system development, maintenance, and recommendations of purchases of new hardware and software
  • Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
  • Perform periodic tests to ensure backup and recovery procedures run effectively

Requirements

  • Oracle DB Professional Administrator with more than 5 years’ experience
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience should include DB design (modeling and normalization), capacity planning, performance tuning, storage management, back-up and recovery, managing schemas
  • Experience with Oracle applications is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems and Oracle/SQL Server databases over these operating systems
  • Good understanding of partitioning, backup procedures and architecture design principles
  • Hands-on experience with DB standards and end user applications-translating
  • Good problem solver, focused and dedicated developer with ability to work independently as well as part of a team
