The Advantages of an End-to-End VoIP Access System

The
demand for VoIP solutions has skyrocketed primarily as a result
of the two powerful forces of unbundling and deregulation, which
have opened up the telephony market for competition. Once liberalized,
the market expanded due to the demand for the deployment of broadband
services to homes and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Number portability - subscribers owning their phone numbers and
taking them with them when they re-locate - responds perfectly to
the needs of SMEs, which tend to move to progressively larger premises
as they grow and fear the confusion that a change in telephone numbers
would create for them and their clients. This, in turn, has stimulated

Ever Public Carrier Ethernet Interoperability Test
RAD
Data Communications participated in the largest and most diverse
public Carrier Ethernet multi-vendor interoperability test ever
staged. The live test, geared towards network operators providing
Carrier Ethernet services, was targeted at verifying the current
interoperability status of a wide range of implementations as well

Phase 2 of its EtherAccess Strategy
At
the Carrier Ethernet World Congress, RAD unveiled Phase 2 of its
EtherAccess strategy. Phase 2 supports the rollout of Ethernet Virtual
Private Line (EVPL) and Ethernet Private Line (EPL), as well as
E-Line and E-LAN services, over fiber, DSL and bonded copper circuits,
with essential 802.1ag standard Ethernet OAM (Operations, Administration

2G and 3G Backhaul over DSL
RAD

bandwidth over either channelized T3 or up to 16 T1/E1 lines. More
