E1 T1 Access: Mux (Multiplexer) modem network termination unit converter

E1/T1 is a physical layer protocol for leased line transmissions. Several E1/T1 lines can be combined into E2/T2 and E3/T3 lines. Data rates are as follows: T1, 1.544 Mbps; E1, 2.048 Mbps; T2, 6.312 Mbps; E2, 8.448 Mbps; E3, 34.368 Mbps; T3, 44.736 Mbps.
