The RAD VoIP System (RVS) is a SIP-based, carrier-class IP telephony solution that enables service providers to roll out next-generation Voice over IP (VoIP) services to business, SOHO, and residential customers in minimal time and by pay-as-you grow investment.
Engineered to provide superior voice quality and call integrity, the fully integrated RAD VoIP System is comprised of IPVgate customer premises equipment (CPE), the IPVsuite Class 5 softswitch and provisioning system, and the RADview-SC/IPV IP telephony management system.
RAD’s IP telephony solution offers services providers the opportunity to tap into new revenue sources by offering customers easy migration to cost-cutting VoIP. The RAD VoIP System establishes a gateway for convergence of business telephony and data traffic, generating savings on customer communications.
The system leverages existing equipment for customers with analog telephones and fax machines, analog and digital PBXs, and supports LAN connectivity via a 10/100BaseT Ethernet port. For enterprises with branch offices, a built-in VPN server/client creates transparent connectivity of enterprise LANs into a single virtual LAN.
The system is compatible with leading VoIP media gateways and SIP end units, including softphones, IP phones and IP PBXs.
Integral to the system are an ADSL modem and router, firewall, IPSec VPN, and P2P VoIP calls.
System repairs and upgrades are handled remotely from central sites, saving money for service providers and keeping cost of ownership to a minimum. RAD’s IP telephony solution features multilayered Quality of Service (QoS), which includes call prioritization and bandwidth optimization, enabling the delivery of high quality calls even over low-cost ADSL connections.
