RAD’s ACE-3200 cell site gateway for Abis optimization enables operators improve GSM backhaul efficiency where bandwidth is constrained or expensive, such as over international leased lines, satellite and microwave links. By multiplexing the traffic from underutilized E1 circuits and optimizing the Abis interface, the ACE-3200 can reduce the number of E1 trunks required for BTS-BSC backhaul by 50% and more, freeing up the backhaul connection for additional traffic or next generation services.
