QA Engineer

Rad is hiring a QA Engineer to be part of the team.  The position is hybrid, with up to twice a week working remotely. The office is located in Jerusalem. 

Job Description

The employee will be responsible for performing manual and automatic tests for data communication in Ethernet Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks.

The work includes:

  • Development of test methods and test plans
  • Performing manual tests
  • Development and management of automated test scripts
  • Report on test results
  • Working with the R&D team and other QA teams

Mandatory requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in QA, with a focus on manual and automatic testing for data communication in Ethernet Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks
  • In-depth knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and OSI Model(seven layers of computer systems used to communicate over a network).
  • Excellent Hands-on experience with ETHERNET protocol Layers 2 and 3.
  • Excellent Hands-on experience with traffic generators – Spirent & IXIA.

Desired requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering, computer science.
  • Excellent experience working with the OSPF protocol(routing protocol for Internet Protocol networks)
  • Experience working with manual testing tools, such as Wireshark and tcpdump
  • Knowledge of Linux – an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • High-level interpersonal communication.
