These include proactive performance monitoring with Ethernet OAM, SLA enforcement from the service hand-off points and end-to-end quality-of-service (QoS) control per user port, Ethernet flow and CoS. Additionally, standard pseudowire emulation (PWE) capabilities and advanced clock recovery mechanism support transparent delivery of legacy TDM services over packet-switched networks, while grooming functionalities of fractional E1/T1 ATM channels and CES E1 TDM channels onto a single, high-capacity network interface enable substantial savings in cellular backhaul expenditures.
