RAD VP Marketing to Speak as MEF Senior Representative at Carrier Ethernet CIS

Moscow, Russia, June 22, 2012: Amir Karo, Vice President of Marketing at RAD Data Communications, will be speaking as senior representative of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) at Carrier Ethernet CIS in Moscow.

Karo has a full schedule at the event. On June 27 he provides the MEF perspective in a lecture on the subject of Carrier Ethernet 2.0, the next generation standard that was unveiled by the MEF earlier this year. CE 2.0 expands the number of services from three in Carrier Ethernet 1.0 to eight services, and supports manageability across interconnected service provider networks – unlike the standardized CE 1.0 services delivered over a single provider’s network.

Immediately following that presentation Karo will participate in a panel on “Expanding Networks in the Fight for Market Share.”

The following day Karo will speak again, this time in his capacity as RAD’s VP Marketing. The topic of his presentation, scheduled during a session entitled “Carrier Ethernet as a Services Enabler,” will be “Differentiating Your Ethernet Service.”

Organized by IIR Telecoms & Technology, Carrier Ethernet CIS will be the first event of its kind specifically addressing the challenges of network deployment, backhaul and regulation in the CIS. It will contain over 15 service provider presentations, all simultaneously translated into Russian. It will be the largest meeting place and technology forum for the Ethernet transport and services industry in the region.

Carrier Ethernet CIS will be held at the Moscow Marriott Grand Hotel.
