RAD’s ETX-5300A Ethernet Service Aggregation Platform Shortlisted for Award as Best LTE Backhauling Solution

The newly released ETX-5300A Ethernet Service Aggregation Platform from RAD Data Communications has been named a finalist for this year’s LTE North America Award for Best Backhauling Solution.

The award winners will be selected by a panel of leading industry analysts, who will announce their decisions at a November 14th ceremony to be held in conjunction with the LTE North America Conference and Exhibition in Dallas, Texas. The ETX-5300A is one of four products to be shortlisted for the Best Backhauling Solution Award, along with devices from Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent and Telco Systems.

While mobile operators can deploy the ETX-5300A to aggregate backhaul traffic, it can also be used by carriers to groom Ethernet and TDM traffic from the access network to the provider’s edge. This enables the optimization of converged business, wholesale and mobile backhaul services over single device while substantially reducing operational costs per Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) link.

Well received by the industry since it was introduced to the market earlier this year, RAD’s ETX-5300A was named Best Carrier Ethernet Aggregation Product in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress held in Barcelona in September.
