M13 Multiplexer

An M13 multiplexer, or M13 mux, integrates 28 T1 tributary channels into a single 45 Mbps data stream using bit-level multiplexing and M13 bit-interleaving framing format. An M13 mux uses bit stuffing to synchronize between the individual, asynchronous DS1 lines.

RAD’s M13 Multiplexing Solutions

RAD’s M13 terminal multiplexers provide T1 channel grooming and offer direct connection to T3 networks or DS3 equipment over copper or fiber links. RAD’s M13 multiplexers and T3 multiplexer modules support M13 and C-bit parity frame formats for aggregating 28 T1 trunks onto a single T3 line, thus facilitating great savings in CapEx and OpEx for enterprises, carriers, service providers and mobile operators
