RAD’s multiservice SHDSL and SHDSL.bis access solutions enable service providers, large enterprises, utilities, and transportation authorities to deliver high capacity data and voice services over existing copper lines.
RAD’s customer premises equipment for multiservice access include the ASMi-52 SHDSL modem and multiplexer, the ASMi-52L SHDSL modem, the ASMi-54 SHDSL.bis Ethernet modem, and the FCD-IP access unit with integrated router. The SHDSL modems support Ethernet, E1/T1 and serial data over 2-wire or 4-wirecopper. The SHDSL.bis device delivers Ethernet over 2-wire, 4-wire or 8-wire bonded pairs, reaching data rates up to 22 Mbps.
RAD also supplies SHDSL modem repeaters for extended distances.
The E1/T1 or Fractional E1/T1 access device enables service providers to bundle data, voice and IP access services over a single E1 or T1 access line.
RAD offers several product options for the central site or remote PoP. The LRS-24 modem rack grooms remote services over fiber and SHDSL links while the LRS-102 grooms them over fiber and SHDSL.bis connections.
Aggregation and service termination at the central site can be achieved using Megaplex-4100 multiservice access node or the DXC-100 multiservice access node. The Megaplex-4100 is a high-capacity, carrier-class multiservice concentrator, supporting transport of multiple TDM and next-generation services over PDH/SDH/SONET for large enterprises, including utilities, transportation and campuses.
The DXC-100 multiservice access node is a high-density, high-performance concentrator and digital cross-connect providing grooming, concentration and cross-connection for multiple E1/T1, E3/T3 and STM-1/OC-3 lines.
