Utilize SHDSL infrastructure for mobile backhaul to reduce Last Mile transport costs and to connect to new packet-switched networks.
Our Solution
RAD’s ACE-3105 cell-site gateway, ACE-3205 cell-site gateway and ACE-3220 cell-site gateway enable mobile operators and transport providers to substantially reduce backhaul costs by leveraging wholesale SHDSL deployments and widely available ATM and IP DSLAMs to carry GSM and UMTS traffic over ATM, PSN or hybrid transport networks. In addition to allowing mobile backhaul over SHDSL or G.SHDSL.bis links, the ACE-3105, ACE-3205 and ACE-3220 also incorporate pseudowire encapsulation support, as well as high precision clock recovery capabilities. These ensure accurate delivery of symmetric services including real-time voice and high-priority applications, over asynchronous packet transport networks.
Using IMA or physical (M-pair) bonding schemes, the ACE-3xxx combine up to four SHDSL or SHDSL.bis pairs into a single data stream, with a combined data rate of up to 9.2 Mbps or 20 Mbps, respectively.
