The ETX-2 offers advanced demarcation for SLA-based Ethernet business services, wholesale services and mobile backhaul. It is available as a Carrier Ethernet demarcation device, modular Carrier Ethernet demarcation device, advanced mobile demarcation device, and a 10G Carrier Ethernet demarcation/aggregation device.
Part of RAD’s Service Assured Access solution, the ETX-2 is designed to lower service provider TCO and increase revenues with an extensive service lifecycle toolkit that can be implemented in a variety of deployment modes over any access infrastructure. It handles up to 5 Gbps or 40 Gbps of Ethernet and TDM pseudowire user traffic at wire-speed with differentiated per-flow quality of service (QoS) capabilities.
Below are available ordering options of the ETX-2, along with additional features to the list detailed in the “Quick Specs” tab:
Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Device
RAD’s ETX-203AX delivers SLA-based Ethernet business services, such as Ethernet Private Line (EPL), Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) and bridged E-LAN to the customer premises over native Ethernet access. It handles up to 5 Gbps of user traffic at wire-speed and is ideal for carriers, service providers, and wholesale operators requiring advanced Ethernet functionality at customer premises and multi-tenant units (MTUs).
Universal Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Device
Universal Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Device
Four FE/Gigabit Ethernet user ports
GbE, E1/T1, T3, or SHDSL modular network ports or 1G wire-speed router module
The ETX-203AM is a modular demarcation device, enabling operators to deliver Carrier Ethernet services over native Ethernet, TDM or SHDSL network connections, using a single device. In addition to ensuring uniform service attributes over any access, it reduces carrier TCO and simplifies purchasing, homologation, training, service production, and management integration. An optional router module provides L3 services with static routing. As a feature-rich demarcation point for SLA-based Ethernet business services, it supports Ethernet Private Line (EPL) and Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) over the same physical link with IP VPN, VoIP, and dedicated Internet access, all with differentiated quality of service and end-to-end monitoring.
Hybrid Sync-E and 1588v2 support; TC, BC, slave and Distributed GM functionality with integrated GPS
TDM pseudowire per MEF-8, UDP/IP, MPLS static labeling in CESoPSN and SAToP modes
ITU-T G.8032 Ethernet Ring Protection Switching
Wire-Speed router with Layer-3 IPv4 and IPv6 forwarding
The ETX-205A is a high-end Carrier Ethernet demarcation device for L2 and L3 business services and mobile backhauling, featuring, in addition to the above, six combo FE/GbE ports and power supply redundancy.
As a mobile demarcation device, the ETX-205A combines a cell-site gateway or a small hub device with Ethernet demarcation, as well as distributed timing (Distributed GM) functionalities. It is installed at cellular tower and controller sites to guarantee differentiated SLAs for 3G, HSPA and LTE mobile operators, while cutting down provider costs by minimizing equipment needed for timing and demarcation.
Flexible 10G aggregation with up to 4 x 10bE and up to 20xGbE ports
Designed to support Sync-E, 1588v2 slave, BC and transparent clock (TC)
The ETX-2 combines intelligent demarcation and aggregation capabilities to deliver SLA-based Carrier Ethernet services for enterprise and carrier-to-carrier applications. As a demarcation solution, the ETX-2 is used for managing the service hand-off at an enterprise headquarters handling a large volume of traffic, at carrier inter-connects, or between provider networks. Alternatively, it can also be used as an aggregation solution at the concentration point, where a single unit can support numerous services and concurrent OAM sessions.
